Special Enrollment Periods

There are Special Enrollment Periods outside Medicare’s Annual Open Enrollment Period (October 15 - December 7th). If you qualify you may be able to enroll in Medicare Part A & B and also enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement Plan. If you experience one of these qualifying life events call me to get the help you need to understand your Medicare enrollment options:

***Within the next three months you are turning age 65.

***You already have Medicare Part A and will be retiring within the next three months.

***You have a Medicare Advantage Plan and have recently moved to Hawaii county from some other place in the country. Medicare Advantage Plans are county specific. You only have 60 days to enroll in a local county plan.

***You are qualified for Medicaid and you receive assistance through the State of Hawaii’s Med-Quest (Medicaid). You may also be eligible for a Medicare Advantage Plan with a $0.00 cost premium that provides additional services critical to your health and well-being that are beyond that provided by Med-Quest. These additional services include dental, hearing and vision services, Over-the-counter items and more.
